From Fair Districts PA (http://www.fairdistrictspa.com):
The more we know about gerrymandering and how our district maps are drawn, the more effective we are in advocating for a fair, transparent process.
We’re pleased to announce that Fair Districts PA will be presenting a six-week series, “Let’s End Gerrymandering,” on PCN (Pennsylvania Cable Network). Join us for the story of Pennsylvanians coming together to end partisan gerrymandering, Sunday afternoons at 2:30 pm, beginning April 19. Each episode will be rebroadcast the following Sunday at 5:30 pm beginning April 26. Most cable networks carry PCN, but for those without access, we’ll provide the series on YouTube once the PCN broadcast has ended. To access the PCN website for additional information and scheduling use this link: CLICK HERE.
April 23, 7 pm to 8 pm: Fair Maps Discussion with Draw the Lines award-winning mappers. The more we know about how maps are drawn, the more able we are to advocate for fair maps and real representation. Mappers will share what they learned in drawing PA district maps and how they balanced competing priorities to create maps that would provide the best representation. Register here.
April 30, 7 pm to 8 pm: Fair Maps Discussion: local stories about distorted districts. Some of our local coordinators and speakers will share the stories behind some of the strange shapes in Pennsylvania’s districts. Let us know in the registration form if you have a story of your own you’d like to share. Register here.
