From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):
As we welcome the 116th Congress into office, it is critical that we remind them that dreamers, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients, and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) holders are in urgent need of a permanent, legislative solution that provides a pathway to citizenship without undercutting other immigrant community members. Our Liberian DED holder neighbors will lose protections on March 31, 2019, and we must ensure that legislation is passed swiftly to protect them from being at risk of deportation and family separation.

In response to violence, conflict, and natural disasters, the U.S. government pledged to protect individuals from impacted countries already in the United States with TPS or DED. Today, thousands of our community members have been able to rebuild their lives, work, and raise a family in safety, while their remittances support loved ones in their home and neighboring countries.
Faith Leaders: Sign on to this letter by COB on Thursday, January 28th, and join us in urging Congress to pass clean, unified, and permanent legislation to protect dreamers and TPS & DED holders.
