Contest: The second round of the contest is off to a good start and we’ve extended the deadline to May 31. Please let us know if you have a group interested in scheduling a map-a-thon — we’re pushing hard to build our numbers and engagement statewide.
Redistricting Commission Hearings: The Pennsylvania Commission on Redistricting, chaired by our very own David Thornburgh, has announced its nine public hearings throughout the Commonwealth (they all run from 4 to 7 pm):
- Thursday, May 2, in Pittsburgh (Carnegie Mellon University)
- Thursday, May 9, in Reading (PSU-Berks)
- Thursday, May 16, in Altoona (PSU-Altoona)
- Tuesday, May 28, in Philadelphia (Tindley Temple United Methodist)
- Wednesday, May 29, in Bethlehem (Northampton Community College)
- Thursday, June 6, in Wilkes-Barre (Wilkes University)
- Date TBD in Harrisburg (likely Dixon University Center)
Draw The Lines will attend them all with tables and information about the initiative. We’d love to see you there!
