Register to Comment on Trump Administration’s Dirty Water Rule

As you may have heard, EPA and Army Corps announced their plans to begin the process of revising the Trump Administration’s “Dirty Water Rule,” which was the most severe attack on the Clean Water Act in history. This regulation removed Clean Water Act protections from more than half of the nation’s wetlands and streams. The Dirty Water Rule is currently in effect nationwide, putting streams and wetlands across the country at risk every day.  On Friday, EPA announced a series of listening sessions to be held this month for public input (full announcement below).

We would like to have robust participation in these listening sessions to ensure that the message that the Dirty Water Rule must be repealed immediately and replaced with a rule that provides strong protections is heard.  We would like to fill as many of the speaking slots as possible, so the first step is ensuring that a diverse range of organizations and individuals who support strong clean water protections are able to participate.

We therefore encourage folks to sign up for speaking slots as soon as possible! Below are the speaking slot dates/time and registration links:

  • August 18, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. Eastern – Registration
  • August 23, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. Eastern – Registration
  • August 25, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. Eastern (for small entities) – Registration
  • August 26, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. Eastern – Registration
  • August 31, 2021 from 3-5 p.m. Eastern – Registration
