Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution

In Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution, James Redford travels across the country to meet innovators and advocates of the growing clean energy economy. Redford explores the advantages and disadvantages of many forms of energy, from coal, to solar, to wind, to water, and nuclear, and talks to experts about the technology, politics, and economic viability of the various options. The film also tells the story of how politics nearly derailed solar in one of our sunniest states — Nevada — and how a pastor turned state senator helped save it. Formidable obstacles still stand on our path toward a clean energy future, but Happening shows how advocacy and moral conviction can help get us past them to create a more sustainable world.

Before the Flood

“Before the Flood, presented by National Geographic, features Leonardo DiCaprio on a journey as a United Nations Messenger of Peace, traveling to five continents and the Arctic to witness climate change firsthand. He goes on expeditions with scientists uncovering the reality of climate change and meets with political leaders fighting against inaction. He also discovers a calculated disinformation campaign orchestrated by powerful special interests working to confuse the public about the urgency of the growing climate crisis. With unprecedented access to thought leaders around the world, DiCaprio searches for hope in a rising tide of catastrophic news.”
