As we watch the events in Ukraine with sadness and fear, one thing is clear: we can’t continue down the path of fossil fuel dependence. We must push for a swift transition away from fossil fuels and build a peaceful, clean energy future. That can start with Congress passing the $550 billion in climate and energy investments before them.
These climate and energy investments can help us address this crisis and help working families lower costs, while putting us on the path toward a just, livable, and energy-independent future. We can only secure our families and our future, by rapidly transitioning to 100% clean renewable energy.

In 2021, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a historic bill with more than $550 billion in investment for clean energy, transportation, clean air and water, plus critical assistance for children and families. But the legislation remains stalled in the Senate.
