From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

Join us on Thursday, May 9th to tell your Members of Congress to protect refugees and restore the refugee resettlement program! Hundreds of refugees and advocates will be in Washington, DC that day to share why they care about refugee resettlement – please make your voice heard so that all Members of Congress hear loud and clear that their constituents care about refugees.

Here are the top 2 ways to take action:

Call Congress: On Thursday, May 9th, click here to tell your Members of Congress to protect refugees and be bold in choosing moral, just policies that provide safety for vulnerable individuals seeking protection. Alternatively, you can call directly–find contact information:

Join Social Media: Even if you cannot join us in DC, you can still make your voice heard! On Wednesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 9th, click here to join us on social media to show your support for refugees. Find Twitter handles for PA Members of Congress below.

The administration has reduced the refugee resettlement program by 75% and set this year’s refugee admissions goal at 30,000 – the lowest level in U.S. history. Given that there are more than 25 million refugees worldwide — more than half of whom are children — these numbers are shockingly low. All people have the right to seek a safe place to call home.
