Become a Census Ambassador and Work for an Accurate Count

From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):

Every person is made in the image of God and is thus worthy of respect and dignity. That means every person should be counted and represented by their government.

That is why we are working to ensure that the 2020 Census is fair and accurate. The Census will determine how much federal funding our local schools, roads and hospitals receive. Unfortunately, in past Censuses children, people of color and immigrant communities have been undercounted – leading to underfunding of critical services for marginalized communities.

Faith leaders like you can help fix that – by educating our friends, neighbors and congregants about how the Census works and how important it is to be counted!

We’re focusing on undercounted communities, including our black, Latino and immigrant family. Can you join us?

The U.S. Constitution requires the Census to be an accurate count of everyone. It is critical for fair political representation and equitable treatment. There are currently those working to undermine the count and create fear in communities of color.

Can you help us make sure that doesn’t happen by registering as a census ambassador?

Together, we can make sure the 2020 Census is a fair count and our government begins to reflect our values.
