Tell Congress: Add the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

Congress is about to begin the process of ensuring that the Equal Rights Amendment – which would guarantee the equal legal rights for all Americans regardless of sex – can finally be added to the U.S. Constitution.

Last year, the United States took a big step toward equal rights for women when Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. But due to an arbitrary time limit Congress set, the ERA hasn’t yet been added to the Constitution.

Can you join our friends at Feminist Majority in urging Congress to remove the arbitrary time limit so we can add the Equal Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution once and for all?

The days of taking advantage of women and their families must come to an end. That’s why we’re joining Feminist Majority to build support for House Joint Resolution 17, which would end the arbitrary timeline for ratification Congress established decades ago.

In 2020, the House passed a resolution removing the time limit – but the measure stalled in the Senate. Now, with Democrats in control of both the House and the Senate, we have a real chance to finally add the ERA to the U.S. Constitution.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, will you stand with Feminist Majority and help guarantee gender equality is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution? Click here to sign the petition now.

Thanks for taking action.
