Act Now to Stop Fracked Gas Mountain Valley Pipeline—by July 14

From Appalachian Voices (http://www.appvoices.org/):

Your voice is again needed to stop the fracked-gas Mountain Valley Pipeline — an unnecessary pipeline threatening Appalachia. MVP has brought destruction to steep slopes in the Blue Ridge Mountains, across treasured public lands and wildlife habitat, and through countless family farms. But the pipeline remains incomplete in substantial and significant ways.

The MVP is years behind schedule, billions of dollars over budget and missing multiple federal authorizations. Simply put, it is a boondoggle that’s headed nowhere. Yet MVP wants a four-year extension from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to continue harming Appalachian communities and the environment.

FERC has a chance to say NO to MVP’s rushed request. It has the authority — and the responsibility — to protect water quality, the environment, public lands and communities.  Your voice is critical. Go to https://appvoices.org/no-pipelines/dont-give-mountain-valley-pipeline-another-pass-to-pollute/ to tell FERC to deny MVP’s extension request before the July 14 deadline!
