From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):
The Census Bureau issued a statement that Non Response Follow Up (NRFU) efforts will end on September 30th, a month earlier than expected. NRFU is critical in getting counts of people of color, American Indians, people with low-incomes, and people experiencing homelessness. Rushing operations in this manner increases the likelihood of an inaccurate and less diverse count. A miscount affects Congressional representation, redistricting, and critical funding for each state.
Spread the word to make sure your community knows about this change and that they can still self-respond today!

ENG: Hi, my name is _______ and I am your constituent from (City and State). I am calling to ask you NOT to cut the 2020 Census short and to extend the reporting deadline so the Census Bureau has the time it needs to count everyone. A rushed census results in an inaccurate representation of the country. Thank you for your time.
- Retweet Kamala Harris: Let’s be clear: everyone must be counted in the upcoming Census. Undercounting Black and brown communities will cause suffering for generations to come. Accurate representation is essential– period.
- Retweet Stacey Abrams: The Census is the most important issue we’re NOT freaking out about. Start now! @faircount
- Retweet Hansi Lo Wang: NEW: After cutting short #2020Census counting time, the CensusBureau is offering “award pay” of up to $800 to try to encourage door knockers to work more hours this month while completing at least .75 cases/hour, according to an Aug. 8 email sent to workers that I’ve obtained.
