From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):
What would a shift to 100 percent renewable energy actually mean?
It would mean using an energy source that doesn’t pollute the air we breathe or the water we drink. It would mean vibrant communities, with more reliable local energy systems in the face of natural disasters. It would mean powering our lives without lasting devastation to our environment and a more livable future for our kids and grandchildren.
But the only way to achieve this vision is for people to come together, speak up and take action. The good news? More and more people are doing just that.
Today, we’re highlighting the voices of people from across the country who are embracing a vision of 100 percent renewable energy. Check out our Voices for 100% project to see what they’re saying.
Everyone can feel the impact of our over-reliance on fossil fuels, from health professionals to business owners to students to elected officials. And these are the same people who are stepping up to make a difference.
