From Families Against Mandatory Minimums (http://famm.org/):
We are heartbroken by the avoidable death of Mr. Bruce Norris while waiting for Gov. Tom Wolf to finalize his commutation. Norris’s case for release from prison had been supported by the Board of Pardons. However, he died Saturday, January 30, while awaiting his commutation.
In response to this tragedy, FAMM sent a letter to Gov. Wolf urging him to immediately sign all outstanding commutations that are before him. We also requested the governor reprieve people who are supported for commutation by the Board of Pardons while they wait for final approval.
Please join us in asking Gov. Wolf to prioritize increasing efficiency in Pennsylvania’s clemency process today: https://secure.everyaction.com/wgBjq9OjRkiL_VDU8ghiBQ2
