As inauguration approaches, asylum seekers continue to be subject to unjust border policies that deny them their right to asylum. The Kino Border Initiative, an organization that works with asylum seekers and their families at the U.S.-Mexico border, has written a letter with asylum seekers to President-Elect Biden asking him to respect their right to asylum and rollback harmful border policies that the current Administration issued.
Throughout his campaign, President-Elect Biden has repeatedly promised to restore the asylum process. Now, we have to hold him to that.
