From Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania (http://www.housingalliancepa.org/):
On June 8, 2021, after months of education and advocacy, Housing Alliance champion Senator David Argall introduced a co-sponsor memo to fund Pennsylvania’s State Housing Tax Credit program.
Now, we need everyone to call their state senators and tell them to help expand resources for affordable housing and co-sponsor the bill to fund the State Housing Tax Credit.
Background
In 2020, the State Housing Tax Credit program was created (also known as Act 107 of 2020). The program provides for private investment in the creation of safe and decent homes that are affordable to families with moderate and low incomes. However, when the State Housing Tax Credit was created, it was not funded. Senator Argall’s co-sponsor memo allocates $10 million in tax credits annually to the State Housing Tax Credit program.
