From PennEnvironment (http://www.pennenvironment.org):
The movement for 100% renewable energy is growing.
Last month, Illinois became the ninth state to pass legislation to transition to 100% clean electricity.1 And the following week, state legislators in Harrisburg introduced legislation in both the state House and state Senate to put Pennsylvania on the same path — but we need your help to build momentum for our legislation.2
Ask your state legislators to cosponsor this legislation to transition Pennsylvania to 100% renewable energy at https://pennenvironment.webaction.org/p/dia/action4/common/public/?action_KEY=46858.
A recent poll showed that 73% of Pennsylvanians support moving to a 100% clean energy economy by 2050.3 And experts agree that it requires eliminating our dependence on fossil fuels.
Not only will more clean energy mean a better chance at maintaining a safe, livable climate, but it will also create jobs throughout the Commonwealth. There are currently over 75,000 clean energy jobs in all 67 counties of Pennsylvania and that number is growing every day.4
Ask your state legislators to cosponsor this critical proposal today!
The pollution from dirty fossil fuels has plagued our state and the nation for too long. It’s time for Pennsylvania’s legislature to commit to 100% clean energy. To quote the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Chris Rabb, “you know what I call a solar energy spill…a sunny day!” Let’s continue working together to promote more solar and wind energy, and less dirty, polluting, dangerous fossil fuels.
It’s time to #Go100PA!
