From the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (http://www.pahealthaccess.org):
This week, the Administration announced that it has decided NOT to reopen the Affordable Care Act marketplace, which would have made it possible for people who are uninsured to access health coverage.
In the midst of a public health crisis, the LAST thing that our government should be doing is making it harder to access healthcare. No one should worry about being able to afford seeing a doctor right now.
It’s important to note that while this decision is damaging and short-sighted, people who have lost their job or their health insurance due to the COVID-19 pandemic are likely still eligible to enroll in coverage, but they need to act quickly. With any questions, our helpline is OPEN at 877-570-3642!
We’re putting together petition signatures to ask the Administration to reconsider reopening the ACA marketplace! Can you take a minute to sign at https://pahealth.salsalabs.org/coronavirussep/index.html?
