As our communities prepare to open mass vaccination sites, transportation should not be a barrier to getting a vaccine.
Public transit, often free or subsidized for older adults and people with disabilities, is available in every county.
Our shared ride programs and fixed-route public transit systems offer accessible transportation
- The Senior Shared Ride program offers Pennsylvanians 65+ shared-ride and curb-to-curb services for a fraction of the normal cost.
- The Persons with Disabilities Program helps Pennsylvanians 18-64 who have disabilities to get transportation, too.
Free transportation to vaccinations is currently available in at least 39 counties for qualifying individuals.
These transportation programs are removing barriers for some of our most vulnerable residents. Not just during the pandemic, but every day.
