From Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania (http://www.housingalliancepa.org/):
Pennsylvania has received the first funding disbursement from the U.S. Treasury for Emergency Rental Assistance funded through the American Rescue Plan (ERAP 2.0). The Pennsylvania General Assembly will need to pass legislation to ensure this critical assistance gets to Pennsylvania tenants and landlords as quickly as possible. Now is the time to let legislators know we need to improve the PA Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance Program (ERAP) to make it as effective as possible!
Please call your legislators today and ask them to:
- Amend Act 1 by removing the cap on administrative costs and housing stabilization services in ERAP 1; and
- When allocating ERAP 2.0, mirror federal requirements without imposing additional caps or restriction.
