In 3½ days the Continuing Resolution (CR) that is funding the federal government will expire. Congress needs to act by midnight Friday. Your action now may make the difference between adequate funding for HUD programs and increased homelessness.
This week, Congress will decide whether to pass another CR or enact a budget. All indicators point to another CR into March 2017. How do we address the growing need for affordable homes with last year’s dollars? Tell Congress to pass a full HUD budget now.
And when Congress does pass a budget the funding level needs to be adequate to keep every family in their homes. Moreover, we need to continue our community revitalization work, make more affordable homes available, house people experiencing homelessness and help people who are stuck on long waiting lists. Tell Congress to provide full funding for HUD.
