On August 12, the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, the National Council of Churches and a delegation of multi-racial national faith leaders representing millions of members across the country joined Texas state legislators who left their state to defend the sacred right to vote in Texas to deliver a moral challenge on voter suppression to Senate Majority Leader Schumer, Senate Minority Leader McConnell, President Biden and Vice President Harris.
