Church World Service has decided to delay this event until later in the year.
From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):
Are you frustrated by the polarization in our world today? Do you want to help people who are fleeing war or disaster, but you aren’t sure where to start?
If you are ready to come together with people from all walks of life to take action and raise money to change the lives of refugees around the world, then we have an exciting way for you to choose love over fear.
Take the Ration Challenge. Raise Money, eat rations and show refugees we’re with them, not against them. The conversations you start will help grow understanding of the issues facing refugees, and in doing so, help build a more compassionate society. The money you raise will provide food, healthcare, education and critical services to refugees throughout the world.
Save the date for Ration Challenge 2020: June 14-20 (the week leading up to World Refugee Day). The website will go live for registrations in late Spring, but here are three things to do now:
Put the date on your calendar.
Start recruiting a team – it’s better with friends from work, your faith community, your neighborhood.
Let us know how to reach you when the website is live. Sign up here to get a notification when registration is open: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdLkqGaIhsQZu-TOrMdIoLFFy8xZ_UM8BDfm4bjqMS-D6HWEA/viewform
