Support Care Workers and Those Who Receive At-Home/In-Community Care

From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):

Care workers are mostly women, over half women of color and nearly one-third immigrant workers. They not only care for our mothers, but many of them are mothers. Join the faithful call for them to be honored and respected this Mother’s Day.

Add your name to the petition at https://actionnetwork.org/forms/sign-the-petition-if-you-agree-care-is-essential-we-must-invest-in-home-and-community-care-services-to-support-black-latina-asian-and-immigrant-women-and-their-communities-now calling our country to invest in home and community care services and workers now!

Long-term care workers deserve to be treated with dignity as they provide care to our elders and people with disabilities. Care workers, like all workers, deserve living wages and deep investments in their families. Care workers have been immorally excluded from worker protections for decades.

As people of faith, we know that the people who are serving to care for our loved ones are truly demonstrating love for our neighbors. For a fair and just recovery from this pandemic, we need deep investments in the women of color whose caregiving helps others go to their own jobs & is central to so many American families.

Support care workers and those who receive at-home and in-community care by adding your name to this petition.

This Mother’s Day, thank you for joining us in calling for investment in the women who work to keep our families safe and healthy.
