From Church World Service (http://www.churchworldservice.org):

In just a few weeks, the United Nations and President Obama will host summits on the refugee crisis. Right now, with over 60 million people around the world displaced, it is more important than ever that global leaders find solutions to the largest refugee crisis in history.

During these historic summits, we are urging President Obama and the U.S. Congress to lead by example.

CWS has galvanized dozens of partner organizations to leverage this call for the U.S. to increase refugee resettlement and ensure adequate funding for both assistance for refugees abroad and services for refugees resettled here. But despite our asks, the most important messages will come from people like you.

Can we count on you to speak out, urging the United States to lead by example in addressing the refugee crisis? Sign the postcard today and add your voice!

Working with over 40 other partner organizations, we will deliver your message – and thousands of others from communities across the United States – to the White House and Members of Congress on September 15th, showing that we all stand with refugees!

As we face this unprecedented crisis, it will take all of us speaking out to ensure that the U.S. leads by example and lives out our moral responsibility to stand with the vulnerable and welcome the stranger. We are asking faith and community leaders around the United States to join us in this campaign by showing their support online and printing out postcards to have them signed at your church, event, or community gathering. Make your voice heard and show that your community is ready to welcome!

It only takes a minute – make your voice heard today to support welcoming communities and help refugees around the world.

Thank you for all your work and support!
