Bees need our help.
Both wild bees and honeybees are dying off at unsustainable rates. Overall, eight unique species of bees are already listed as threatened or endangered under the Endangered Species Act, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.1
One of the leading causes of this loss has been the widespread use of a class of pesticides called neonicotinoids, or neonics. Since the introduction of neonics roughly 25 years ago, America’s landscape has become 48 times more toxic to bees.2

Neonics poison bees’ central nervous systems. Exposure to these pesticides has caused neurological damage, paralysis and death.3
This is devastating — not just for bees, but also for our larger environment. Ninety percent of wild flowering plants need animal pollinators. Without them, flowering plants will sharply decline, with dangerous consequences for all ecosystems.4
Fortunately, we have the opportunity to make a difference.
Every 15 years, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required to reassess the safety of a given pesticide and consider public input in its decision-making. By adding your name to our petition, you’ll help show the EPA the widespread support for a ban on the worst uses of neonics.
