From the Interfaith Immigration Coalition (http://www.interfaithimmigration.org):
The Trump administration has been engaging in systematic attacks against our immigrant neighbors. Since September 2017, the administration has terminated Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haitian, Sudanese, Nicaraguan, and Salvadoran TPS holders in the United States. TPS is a program designed to protect people from being returned to harm, and the administration will decide by January 30th whether to extend TPS for Syria, a country decimated by one of the most destructive and fatal conflicts in recent history and producing over 5.4 million refugees.
Faith Leaders: Sign On Today! We invite faith leaders across traditions to sign on to the letter at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc6PWOTa5M-2ZyzFEpZbQZz0aGeRVYUDHQvG3aS-tipMKsDWw/viewform urging the administration to re-designate and extend Syria’s TPS designation for at least another 18 months. To let TPS expire or end it altogether would mean turning our backs on the vulnerable individuals we pledged to protect, and would exacerbate a country already facing one of the most destructive and fatal conflicts in recent history, producing over 5.4 million refugees.
Here are the top ways to take action:

Offering protection to the most vulnerable is a pillar of our American values. We need to send a clear message that the faith community wants to see the administration re-designate and extend Syria’s TPS designation for at least another 18 months and support a permanent, legislative solution for all TPS holders. Together, our collective advocacy places the faithful call to love our neighbors into action.
Please spread the word, and thank you for all your work and support!
