Our plan for a Holy Recovery is simple: we need to advance economic justice and fight to protect and reform our democracy. We must reclaim power from the wealthy few and prioritize the health and security of our communities. The first steps toward achieving these goals are passing the American Families and Jobs Plan and the For the People Act to strengthen the middle class and ignite a nation that outs the dignity of its people first.
A strong democracy and an economy that allows everyone to flourish should go hand in hand. When the people of our nation can be free to choose who writes and creates our laws, are provided financial sustainability, and have inclusive pathways to citizenship — then we will have a Holy Recovery.
