From Fair Districts PA (http://www.fairdistrictspa.com):
On October 27 we announced the People’s Maps for PA House and Senate at our first ever Virtual Press Conference. More than 250 supporters, press and legislators attended. If you missed the event, you can view it online here.
The maps were created with input from people across Pennsylvania. More than 1,000 voices were included through the LACRA contest, in-person and virtual testimony, comment and feedback, the Unity Map process led by Pennsylvania Voice and many local and regional community mapping conversations. You can read more about the process here.
Take some time to Explore the PA People’s Maps and Read FAQs. If you need help with a short Dave’s Redistricting App tutorial, you can find that here.
Do the districts in your area make sense? Are there small changes that might make them even better? Take some time this weekend to explore the maps and then share your feedback.
“The maps were submitted to the Legislative Reapportionment Commission (LRC) on Wednesday. We are asking the LRC to consider these districts, to match our metrics and to invite community feedback before their own maps are finalized. Now they need to hear from YOU about why they should consider the maps as they conclude their own negotiations.
Share your impression of our maps with the Legislative Reapportionment Commission
You might also consider sharing the maps on social media, or writing a letter to the editor about your current districts and how the People’s Map districts compare. Find ideas for submitting letters here.
