From Common Cause (http://www.commoncause.org):
While the fight isn’t over, we just had a major win at the Supreme Court – and we’ve got good news about Pennsylvania redistricting.
On Monday, the Supreme Court denied a request to stay the implementation of Pennsylvania’s new congressional map – meaning that the congressional map chosen by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, also known as the Carter Plan, will go into effect for this year’s election cycle.
This decision gives clarity to Pennsylvania voters about which districts will represent us ahead of our primary elections in May. The Carter map is a solid proposal that largely protects communities of interest and allows Pennsylvania voters equal opportunity to elect a candidate of their choice.
And this decision stops a far-right attempt to delay our elections while chasing partisan advantage through our redistricting process.

We believe that every voter deserves an equal seat at the table, no matter what they look like or where they come from, and this latest Supreme Court decision is a step in the right direction. Fair representation will always be a cause worth fighting for, and we’re glad to have you with us.
