From the National Council of Churches (http://www.ncccusa.org):
We are down to mere days that Congress will be in session before Election Day. That likely means mere days left to pass criminal justice reform legislation in this Congress. After the election, focus will turn to the budget and efforts to fund the government before it runs out of money at the end of the year.
We have limited time left to create change. Limited time to reduce harsh and unjust sentences. Limited time to begin to reform a justice system that warehouses people of color at an alarming rate.
We need to act now to let Congress know we want change. Go to https://www.oneclickpolitics.com/messages/edit?promo_id=2783 to tell your senator and representative that you want a vote on criminal justice reform.
