From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, my heart is filled with compassion for the thousands of immigrant families that have been separated from their mothers due to the harmful zero tolerance policy enacted by the Trump administration four years ago. This week, I rejoiced as we heard the news that families are being reunited, the Biden Administration’s first step in a long journey toward healing the cruelty and damage done to immigrant families in this country. However all impacted families must be immediately reunited and provided deportation relief.
Sign our petition at http://fpl.actionkit.com/sign/reuniteallfamilies-petition to urge the Biden Administration to reunite and provide relief to all impacted families.
As people of faith, we have a moral responsibility to denounce wicked policies and demand justice for all immigrant communities. Every immigrant should be free from deportation and given the opportunity to thrive.
In order to begin to account for the systematic oppression and separation of thousands of families our government must take urgent action. We need the Biden Administration and Congress to pass legislation that provides full protection from deportation and detention and reunites families permanently.
