Remind the Women Around You—Register to Vote!

From Unidos US (https://www.unidosus.org/):

Recently, we celebrated Women’s Equality Day at UnidosUS. While we have made many strides in the struggle to achieve gender equality, we are still faced with challenges including closing the gender pay gap, access to reproductive health care, and paid family leave.

If we want to continue to have our issues at the forefront of the national discussion, we must turn out to vote. Today is a great day to go out and register to vote if you are eligible and haven’t yet done so. Please forward this to the women in your lives and ask them to check their voter registration is current and if they’re not yet registered to do it soon—many states have registration deadlines 30 days out from the election. You can start the process on our website.

Women are making a difference across the country. In fact, most of the canvassers working in our Power of 18 effort to register voters on the ground are women. Working mothers, college students, and even retirees. So far, they’ve helped register more than 30,000 new Latino voters in time for the upcoming election and there’s still over one month to go!

Now is the time to join us. Send this to a woman you know and encourage her to get involved by registering to vote. Together we can make a difference.
