From the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (http://www.pahealthaccess.org):
The health of the mouth, teeth, and gums is closely tied to overall health. That’s why we’re fighting for access to high-quality dental care for everyone.
Traditional Medicare doesn’t currently cover dental care, but this month, letters have started circulating in both the House of Representatives and the Senate that encourage the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to change that. The letters push for covering medically necessary dental care through Medicare, but for them to have an impact, we need as many lawmakers as possible to sign on!
Senator Casey has already taken a leadership role in this, but we need you to contact your Representative and Senator Toomey and ask them to sign on to the letter supporting medically necessary dental care through Medicare!
Go to https://pahealth.salsalabs.org/medicaredentalletters/index.html to send a letter to your representative & Senator Toomey asking them to sign on. If you want to read the full text of the letters, here are the House and Senate versions.
