June is National Ocean Month: a time for wonder, gratitude, and care-taking of God’s marine creation. As you may have heard, on World Environment Day 2020 (June 5th), the administration announced a rollback of protections our the only national monument in the Atlantic ocean, the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument. The Creation Justice community worked hard to establish and uphold this historic monument, and we responded to his action with a firm rebuke.

For the resilience of life on Earth, we must provide strong conservation protections for God’s creation, starting with a benchmark scientists and policy-makers globally are promoting: at least 30 percent of the marine and terrestrial natural world by 2030.
The administration’s decision was a setback on that goal. It’s not too late to save the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts by challenging this decision in the courts as well as raising awareness among the public. To do so, we need your help today.
