Tell Congress: Protect Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Private Activity Bonds in Tax Bills

From Housing Alliance of Pennsylvania (http://www.housingalliancepa.org/):

Tax reform bills have now passed the House and Senate. These bills treat resources for affordable housing production differently.
The Senate Bill retains the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and Private Activity Bonds – two programs that drive investment in affordable housing.  The House bill retains the Housing Credit but not tax exempt Private Activity Bonds. Further details about these bill are available here.

The next step is for Congress to reconcile these bills into one to send to the President this month.

ACTION NEEDED: Call your Members of Congress immediately and urge them to retain the Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Private Activity Bonds in the final tax bill that Congress approves.

MESSAGE: We must preserve the Low Income Housing Tax Credit and Private Activity Bonds, in order to maintain the current level of investment in affordable housing. With affordable housing already in short supply in most communities across PA and the nation, we cannot afford to lose these critical programs.
