We need your help to protect the Johnson Amendment – the federal law that protects the integrity of our elections and tax-exempt organizations, including houses of worship, by ensuring that they don’t endorse or oppose political candidates.

The lame-duck Congress, in a last-ditch effort, is trying to sneak a provision into a must-pass government funding bill that would undermine the Johnson Amendment’s protections, specifically for houses of worship. This would cripple the IRS’s ability to enforce the Johnson Amendment when houses of worship violate it – effectively gutting the law.
