Protect the Dreamers, Children’s Health, and Disaster Victims in the Stopgap Bill

Today – Friday, January 19 – is the deadline for Congress to act on continuing government funding.  But other urgent measures are also long overdue.  Every day, another 122 Dreamers lose legal status and are threatened with detention and deportation.  Much of Puerto Rico remains without electricity and their Medicaid funding is perilously close to running out.  Children are at risk of losing CHIP health coverage, and other essential health programs must be funded.

Please tell our Senators to meet these urgent needs in the spending bill before them.
