From Creation Justice Ministries (http://www.creationjustice.org/):
Spring is coming, and there is no time like the present to get outdoors and experience God’s creation. We learn about our Creator while we enjoy healthy recreation — especially in our national parks, monuments, forests, and other public lands.
This Spring, to celebrate our public lands, the National Religious Partnership for the Environment is challenging faith leaders across the U.S. to lift up 100 sermons and prayers for our public lands. Sign up by May 15, 2017. When we’re done, we will be able to share a rich repository of examples of how people of different faiths and places share their love for public lands.
Sermons and prayers can be short or long, held indoors or out, delivered to a gathering of adults or children, but should focus on enjoying and protecting our national parks and public lands.
Find more resources and let us know you’re in by signing up at www.nrpe.org/100-sermons.
Together, let’s celebrate the public lands that conserve our collective natural, historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage.
