The Community Responders Network (CRN) is ready to launch its MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS program. By participating in this program, individuals in your church, synagogue, mosque or temple can meet informally with groups in your community and learn about faiths and customs different than yours.
It is a simple process. First, go to the MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS web site at https://sites.google.com/site/communityrespondersnetwork/about-crn/prevention-and-education/meet-your-neighbor—interfaith-program to learn about the program. Click on registered list to see if your religious institution has already been registered.
If it has not been registered, go to the bottom of the page and register. Make sure your screen is open fully. (If it is not, go to the left edge of your screen and pull it to the left. Then you will see an arrow to pull down the Registration Form.)
Once your religious institution has been registered, call or e-mail the Contact Person listed for a religious institution different than yours. Suggest a joint program. For example, you can visit their religious service and they can visit your religious service. Or your youth group can meet with their youth group. Your Sunday school children can meet with their Sunday School children.
It will be easy to reach out to other organizations and MEET YOUR NEIGHBORS. If you have any questions, send an e-mail at MSand9999@aol.com. Thank you for your participation.
