From Faith in Public Life (http://www.faithinpubliclife.org):
Right now, families are sitting in fear threatened by raids. Children are suffering in camps along the border. Babies are dying as their parents try to carry them to safety. The administration’s cruel family separation raids and deportations set to begin this Sunday are another devastating blow to human dignity.
As a pastor, I’m outraged that our government would ever terrorize families and children for political gain, but this is particularly evil to do on a Sunday, what many consider a holy day. It’s time we come together as one faith community to denounce hatred and unite in this struggle.

My faith teaches that we are one family — when one of us suffers, we all suffer. We are one. Our immigrant neighbors are hurting so it’s time to outwardly show our love and support.
