From Family Values @ Work (https://familyvaluesatwork.org/):
This week, the US House of Representatives Ways & Means Committee gave shape to President Biden’s Build Back Better bill. We were proud to see paid family and medical leave for all as its very first item. The provisions incorporate key priorities of our movement, including universal coverage, up to 12 weeks leave for all care purposes, progressive wage replacement, and recognition of all families. The Build Back Better proposal also designates significant investments in childcare. Committee Chairman Richard Neal laid out what’s at stake. The Ways and Means Committee shared comments, including from Family Values @ Work, that show the wide range of support for paid leave.
