From the Alaska Wilderness League (http://www.alaskawild.org):

Election results are (mostly) in, and voters have elected a pro-conservation majority to the U.S. House of Representatives. Polls show that Democrats, Republicans and Independents want to safeguard our cherished and iconic landscapes for future generations.

Push the newly elected House to quickly begin restoring protections for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge at https://act.alaskawild.org/sign/2018Newcongress.

New members-elect of Congress from across the country have already committed to protecting the Arctic Refuge by signing our sister organization Alaska Wilderness Action’s Pledge for the Refuge. They will join more than one hundred current members who have committed to protect the Arctic Refuge from oil drilling, so we’re on the right track.

There is growing evidence that voters across the spectrum favor taking action on climate and specifically oppose drilling in the Arctic Refuge. Take a look at this piece from The New York Times that includes a great map showing that Americans across the country oppose drilling in the Arctic Refuge.

Let’s capitalize on the momentum and keep oil rigs out of the Arctic Refuge!
