From the Pennsylvania Health Access Network (http://www.pahealthaccess.org):
- 1 in 5 Pennsylvanians have chosen not to fill a prescription due to cost.
- Another 1 in 6 have skipped doses or cut pills in half because of costs.
- 2 in 3 Pennsylvanians say they are worried about the cost of prescription drugs.
Pennsylvanians aren’t just worrying more; the prices of brand-name drugs have outpaced inflation by 8-fold, and the price of drugs overall has risen by 30% in less than ten years.
Prescription drugs don’t work if people can’t afford them. That’s why we’re forming the Pennsylvania Coalition for Fair Drug Pricing, a group of organizations committed to advancing effective policy solutions to the soaring cost of prescription drugs.
