From Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children (http://www.papartnerships.org):
With your amazing support, we stopped damaging action by Congress to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act and make negative changes to Medicaid in late March, but late breaking information indicates that the U.S. House of Representatives may take another shot at rolling back critical health care coverage next week.
Details are still emerging but it seems clear that the proposal will remove the critical guarantee of “essential health benefits” and make damaging changes to Medicaid that will likely drive reductions in coverage and benefits and increases in cost sharing.
Federal CHIP funding (provides nearly 90 percent of the funds used for the program) is also coming up for consideration as federal support for the program expires on September 30th.
Join us today and urge our congressional delegation to protect children’s coverage under the ACA, CHIP and Medicaid. Without your voice, kids will lose!
