Continuing his efforts to protect the health and safety of Pennsylvanians, Governor Tom Wolf has taken the following actions:
- Governor Wolf announced the Department of Revenue is providing relief to Pennsylvanians and businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Gov. Wolf and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman announced the creation of a COVID-19 Response Task Force for Health Disparity that will help communicate issues with how the pandemic is affecting the state’s minority and vulnerable populations.
- Governor Tom Wolf announced that Dr. Rachel Levine, under her authority as Secretary of the Department of Health to take any disease control measure appropriate to protect the public from the spread of infectious disease, signed an order directing protections for critical workers who are employed at businesses that are authorized to maintain in-person operations during the COVID-19 disaster emergency.
- The Department of Human Services (DHS) will begin emergency Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefit issuance in line with the federal government’s interpretation of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
- A plan for Pennsylvania that will provide citizens and businesses relief, allowing for safe and expedient reopening was announced.
