Thank you to all who were able to join us on October 18 for the screening of Ferguson Rises: A Father’s Journey to Find Purpose Within Tragedy.
For those who were unable to join us and are interested in viewing the film, Ferguson Rises will premiere on the PBS Independent Lens series on Monday, November 8. You can also view the panel discussion that followed at https://youtu.be/f7xkQqGHUG0. We are filled with gratitude for the contributions of Rev. Renita Green (who appeared in the film) and the Rev. Dr. Larry Pickens in the panel discussion, and for Rev. Green’s generosity with her time in staying with us for the entire event and sharing her perspectives. But there is even more to the conversation: Join us for a 21st century virtual town hall inspired by the Independent Lens film Ferguson Rises. The event will spotlight the urgency and power of racial reconciliation and will serve as a launch for the PBS broadcast premiere of the film on November 8, 2021. The Town Hall will connect communities across the nation for a moderated dialogue on how each of us can take an active role to heal the wounds of racialized violence in America. Here’s the details: Monday, November 8, 2021 / 4pm PT / 7pm ET 75 min. Register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ferguson-rises-virtual-town-hall-tickets-178856553767 Hoping to “see” you there! |
