From Fair Districts PA (http://www.fairdistrictspa.com):
We need your help in March.
Since 2017, FDPA volunteers have logged over 1000 visits with legislators. Redistricting is right around the corner. In our March Toward Transparency, we are setting a high goal to visit EVERY state legislator in the commonwealth.
To make this work, we need March toward Transparency captains to help organize the effort.
You have visited with legislators before or you were a captain during our Polling Place Outreach efforts or you have attended our town halls on LACRA or Advocacy. Your experience and knowledge would be invaluable to us as a captain. Captains will be assigned 3-5 legislators and 4-8 constituent volunteers for each legislator. Captains will set up the legislator Zoom visit, prepare volunteers for the legislative visit, facilitate during the visit and report back to FDPA on the results. We’ll provide Zoom tech help and training materials.
March Toward Transparency will be a great way to connect with other volunteers, contribute to our reform effort, and engage in a non-partisan way to strengthen our democracy.
Captain Position Description for March Toward Transparency provides a summary of key requirements and qualifications.
You can sign up using this webform which is also listed in the Captain Position Description.
Thanks for your support in this effort!
P.S. We’re looking for Captains, but we’re also starting to recruit volunteers. If you can’t be a captain but you would like to volunteer as a constituent of your own legislators, here’s the volunteer form. And if you would fill in as a captain if we were short-handed, you can include that information on the volunteer form.
