Fast4Power—January 14-20, National

From We Say Enough (http://wesayenough.org):

As we settle into the new year, a new political reality that threatens the safety of Black and Brown families and communities is taking shape. Many have been in a variety of conversations that range from despair to anger to rage.

But as people of faith and people of conscience, we cannot be discouraged. Now is the time that we must band together to create the power that is needed not only to protect each other, but also to move forward an affirmative agenda toward our collective liberation. We’ve got a huge fight ahead of us, a fight that will require clarity, strength and power. We won’t win unless we’re ready.

On Saturday, January 14th, we will begin a 7-day #Fast4Power to fortify our spirits, strengthen our resolve and prepare our minds, bodies and souls for the work ahead. Learn more and sign up at http://wesayenough.org/fast4power/.

This fast will aid us in focusing on sustenance of the spirit by challenging you to give up something – food or a daily activity – for a week. But you won’t be alone: Every day we’ll feed your soul with daily reflections, opportunities to engage online and in-person, and 15-minute video check-ins focused on the transformative themes of body, mind, spirit, community, solidarity, vision, and power.

Sign our pledge to join us in this transformative journey leading up to Inauguration Day, alongside whatever actions you have planned for that week.

Together, we will build the strength needed to meet physical and political force with a spiritual force committed to human flourishing not impoverishment, a force rooted in love not rage, in possibility not despair.

Thank you for your commitment to staying in this fight together.

P.S. If you don’t have Twitter or Facebook to sign the Pictition, click here and scroll to the bottom for the pledge form.
