This week, the Supreme Court upheld the President’s discriminatory Muslim ban. As a nation, we are built on the promise of religious liberty. The Court’s ruling turns a blind eye to the pain that the Muslim ban inflicts upon families. As communities of faith, we must show the administration and Congress that we stand opposed to any Muslim or refugee ban and any other attempt to block individuals from entering this country based on where they come from or what faith they practice. The Muslim ban is part of a hateful, xenophobic agenda that systematically attacks the sanctity of family unity. Our elected leaders need to hear from us today: Tell Congress to stop the Muslim ban, protect families, and uphold our nation’s values of family unity, equality, and welcome.
