From CeaseFirePA (http://www.ceasefirepa.org):
It’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and we’re working to raise awareness about how gun policy solutions can prevent tragic loss during a mental health crisis.
That’s why we’re partnering with the Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence to host a panel of experts for a discussion on Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs), a key legislative pillar of our Common Agenda to End Gun Violence.¹
We’re hosting a virtual expert forum next Monday, May 17 at 4 PM to hear insights from a veteran, police detective, mental health professional, suicide prevention advocate, and gun violence prevention expert about how ERPOs can save lives. Can you join us?
The forum will be an excellent opportunity to learn the facts about what ERPOs do and how they work. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions to our expert panel.
Register to attend the webinar at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_a2P8VBb3QBCitkJcUTkpBQ.
ERPOs already exist in 19 states and the District of Columbia, and they have been proven to prevent suicides. If you or others you know could benefit from learning more about this policy, I encourage you to attend and share this invitation with others.
We can end the epidemic of gun violence, but only if the right solutions get the attention they need. I hope you can join us next Monday, May 17 at 4:00 PM.
